WOW!!!! 8 megapixe?!!!!!!! i remember like 5 years ago when i bought a 200$ camera and it was 6 megapixels and it was considered amazing and here is the iphone with a 8!!! ITS CRAZZZYYY:confused:

I am American. Perhaps that?s something the executive team at Wal-Mart has forgotten about. I am free to choose where and when I spend my hard-fought dollars. Though Wal-Mart and its team may be able to manipulate those choices, I will always - ALWAYS - have the choice NEVER to spend another dollar at Wal-Mart. Ever.

If they put an iSight in the Cinema Displays and axe the stand alone iSight that would mean you would have to buy an ACD just to use the video stuff with the Powermac/Mac pro AND the mini.

I'm sure you can do a clean install on the same disk from 2000 to vista (since 2000 was release a bit before 10.1, I't would be fair to not even bother bringing win98 in the scene or we'll have to drag OS 8.5 in the talks) :)
You can easily upgrade OS X from 10.1 straight to 10.5 (atleast 10.4), and if you can't, do a clean install because it's a same damn disk. Can you upgrade Win98 to Vista?
People said the same thing about XP, but all it did was to take 2000/NT code back then, add few drivers and paint it ugly blue.

Why has Madonna been brought into this thread? (I'm sticking up for the Mo part of my username). She can kick all their a**es.
As far as overhyped...that is your opinion. 5 decent songs? Also your opinion. Obviously people disagree with your opinions, or there would be no need for this thread.
The bottom line is that whatever you want to think of them, the impact they had on a generation can't be denied. Almost half a century later, everyone still knows who they are. That isn't the result of five decent songs. I'm not sure if it's just ignorance or stubbornness, but your comment makes it hard to take you seriously.
And if your Dad can write a song like Imagine, then I'd love to meet him.
The same could be said for Madonna. Her impact wasn't the result of five decent songs either. Both the Beatles and Madonna have both transcended music, in a way that Bach just hasn't done.
I said if my dad ever met John Lennon: that meant that JL is about the only one with musical talent in the Beatles. Try reading a little bit better next time.
And suggesting, or even blatantly stating, that Beatles and Madonna have transcended music more than Bach is about as musically stupid as it comes. Bach not only wrote his own music (Madonna just drops into a studio every now and then), he could also conduct orchestras (the Beatles could do one thing individually; that's why they are called the Fab FOUR), his impact on developing Baroque music is unquestioned and his composition skills and musical knowledge have been admired by the likes of Mozart, Haydn, and Beethoven.

I just bought a Macbook Pro literally 5 minutes ago. I've been waiting for months and I finally gave up. After the order was completed, I thought I'd check macrumors just for laughs and the first thing I saw was, "new macbook pros tomorrow?" :(

Lets hope they remaster them - the stereo effects on the original versions can be really painful on a pair of headphones.
I believe that they have been working on remastering the entire collection for a while now. That would produce a really nice iTunes addition.

All I can see them do is try to play one studio against another by telling studio A that if they deal with Apple wall-mart will in turn give preferential treatment, advertising and self-space to studio B. The only way this will work is if the have every studio thinking the same thing. The best way to counter it is if all studios hop on at once, they'll have Wall-mart bent over a barrel.

What? How to do that? This is likely a buffer overflow exploit where a small part of the driver gets overwritten with hacker-incerted code, this code then runs inside the kernel at that point nothing can be done.
They will have to fix the defect that alowed the buffer to overflow. No other option.
This really shows the value of Open Source. So many peopl have loked for this type of stuff in Linux and other OSes that I'm sure most of it is been found and fixed but closed souce drivers are so hard to examine that there could be a hundred more of these waiting to be discovered.

Flash doesn't just stink on Macs...I avoid Flash websites like the plague on my windows box because it slows the machine down to a crawl. Granted, it's a Pentium 4, but still it sucks. On my Mac, I only notice > 50% processor time being used by flash when viewing HD vids at YouTube. Still annoying, though. Wake up, Adobe! :rolleyes:

It would be cool if they allowed made a touch screen iMac and allowed you to run your iOS apps in OS, like with the simulator included in iPhone SDK.
But if OSX and iOS merge, I am leaving apple forever. That would be suicide.
